Mounted Digital Art/Photography

Below are some of my digital art/photography pieces mounted on cradled panel. They are for an upcoming "creepy" show for Halloween. They were a lot of fun to do. The green owl piece in the top left-hand corner used a print of a charcoal sketch I did. The others were photos I took while out and about and then altered them digitally.

"Pleasure Pier"

This is a pastel done from a reference photo taken with my phone on the boardwalk in Galveston, TX. It took forever, but was fun.

"The Path"

8 x 10 pastel painting on Canson Mi-Tientes paper. For some reason, this one gave me fits. The sky didn't want to blend at all. 😒

"Feet Up"

An 8.5 x 10 pastel painting done in vintage colors on Canson Mi Tientes paper. (Loving the 50's vibe.) I think I'm quite happy with how it turned out. 😊

"Back Lit"

Acrylic on paper. This one looks a lot better in person than in a photo. The delicate colors just aren't showing up well.

Pastel Painting "Old Door" 9" x 12"

Today was a quiet day, so I sneaked into the studio. This one was done in a few hours. Doing all those ivy leaves was meditative. 😊

"Just One More Minute" Finished (8 x 10 Pastel Painting)

As a mother who recently became an "empty nester" as my son moved out and got married soon after, this piece has a lot of meaning to me. It reminds me of the first few weeks of my son's life when I would just sit and watch him sleep. Knowing I had so much to get done around the house, I promised myself "just one more minute". Aw, memories.

Kitten - Pan/Soft Pastels

Today, I'm working on a pastel painting of a curious kitten. So much fur to do, so little time. Not to mention whiskers. Cats look strange without whiskers. :)

I'm loving my new pan pastels. Easy to use and buttery soft with rich pigment.

"Treasures"

This is a study/sketch in colored pencil for a possible acrylic painting on canvas. It's making me want to get to the beach sooner rather than later. :)

"Confetti", Acrylic Painting

A fun little work in progress of my dachshund, Mercedes. She's a great little model. Will work for a few treats. LOL!
